Bachmann Software Announces availability of Bluetooth Printing Solutions for Palm OS and Pocket PC devices

BTReady™Adapter with Free PrintBoy Now Available

SPARTA, NJ - March 5, 2003... Bachmann Software announced that its PrintBoy application will be bundled with the Anycom Bluetooth™ PM-2002 Printer Module to create a powerful new printing solution for customers who need to print from their handheld computers. Bachmann's BTReady™ Adapter solution will allow users of Palm OS™ and Pocket PC™ handheld portable computers to print documents, spreadsheets, e-mails, memos, calendars and more, directly from Bluetooth-enabled handhelds to virtually any printer.

Bluetooth™ is a wireless technology that allows computing devices to communicate with each other without the need for cable connections, making it an ideal option for PDA users who need to connect to desktop computers, printers, networks and other devices. As the leading producer of Bluetooth data products, Anycom markets a Bluetooth printer adapter that allows customers to upgrade existing printers to become Bluetooth compatible, via a small adapter that plugs into the printer's parallel port.

Knowing that customers look for a complete solution when they shop for PDA-compatible products, Anycom and Bachmann chose to produce a combined hardware and software offering that enables mobile printing for handheld device users in a single solution. In 2001, Bachmann launched their popular InfraReady Adapter printing solution, and InfraReady's success made the creation of a Bluetooth version a natural next step.

"With the growing availability of Bluetooth on handheld devices such as Palm's Tungsten™ T and HP's iPAQ™ Pocket PC, we felt the time was right to provide PrintBoy customers with a full-fledged Bluetooth printing solution. Wireless printing is quickly becoming one of the most practical and popular applications for Bluetooth, and our BTReady Adapter demonstrates our continued commitment to providing printing solutions that meet the needs of the handheld computing marketplace," said Glenn Bachmann, president of Bachmann Software.

"We have been very impressed with the printing capabilities of PrintBoy, and we are pleased that Bachmann Software selected our Bluetooth printer adapter for inclusion in their BTReady solution," said Tom Pocsics, president and CEO of Anycom.

The BTReady solution includes the Anycom Bluetooth printer module and Bachmann's PrintBoy mobile printing software for either the Palm OS or PocketPC environments. BTReady is available now for purchase from the Bachmann Software web site at http://www.bachmannsoftware.com/btready.htm, and has an MSRP of $149.99 USD.
