SPARTA, N.J. & SALT LAKE CITY
Nov. 12, 2001
FranklinCovey, a leading, global learning and performance services firm, and Bachmann Software today announced that Bachmann Software has created a special edition of its PrintBoy(TM) Deluxe software for FranklinCovey to distribute with its FranklinCovey Planning Edition(TM) Palm(TM) handhelds and accessories
Sold as FranklinCovey Edition(TM) PrintBoy Deluxe, the software enables FranklinCovey customers to print data from their Palm OS® based handhelds by simply beaming it to a printer. FranklinCovey Edition PrintBoy Deluxe will support the FranklinCovey Prioritized Daily Task List(TM) and Daily Record of Events(TM) applications, which are available from the FranklinCovey Planning Software Suite(TM) for Palm handhelds. The software will also support all four of FranklinCovey's paper-based FranklinPlanner(TM) unique paper sizes -- Pocket, Compact, Classic, and Monarch. The software is compatible with a variety of Palm applications, allowing users to produce documents, spreadsheets, databases, and other critical business documents.
The agreement also includes rights granted to FranklinCovey to distribute Bachmann Software's InfraReady(TM) Adapter. The portable IR adapter completes the mobile printing solution by ensuring that the user can adapt virtually any printer with a parallel port to accept an infrared beam from a handheld device. The combination of FranklinCovey Edition PrintBoy Deluxe and the InfraReady Adapter allows FranklinCovey customers to remain just as productive away from as they are in their office.
``We are committed to enabling our customers to maximize their personal productivity, no matter where they are,'' said Jeff Anderson, vice president and general manager of technology products at FranklinCovey. ``Producing documents for signature, easier reading, or sharing is necessary to maintain that productivity. We're confident that our customers will find FranklinCovey Edition PrintBoy Deluxe and the InfraReady Adapter as important tools within our offering of mobile productivity solutions and tools.''
FranklinCovey catalog orders for both products are now being taken through 1-800-871-1492. Beginning Dec. 3, 2001, the products will also be available in FranklinCovey's 170 retail stores and www.franklincovey.com. The retail price for FranklinCovey Edition PrintBoy Deluxe software is of $34.95, and $79.95 for FranklinCoveyEdition PrintBoy Deluxe software bundled with the InfraReady Adapter.
Bachmann Software will be demonstrating FranklinCovey Edition Printboy Deluxe software, InfraReady Adapter, and other products in the Palm Pavilion at COMDEX in Las Vegas November 12 to 16.
